Corriander leaves are commonly known as cilantro. This leafy herb is used in most cuisines.Its seeds are known as coriander. Traditionally, coriander is a perennial herb. It has sweet-smelling aroma due to its tender green fruits, which when ripe, turn a brownish yellow.
  1. Being rich in various food elements, the coriander leaves contain protein, fat, minerals, fiber, carbohydrates, and water.
  2. The minerals and vitamins include: vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, iron, carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, sodium, potassium, and oxalic acid.
  3. It is beneficial in treating digestive disorders such as indigestion, nausea, dysentery, hepatitis and colitis.
  4. It is also helpful in typhoid fever.
  5. In addition, the drinking of coriander water helps lower blood cholesterol. It relieves burning and reduces pain and swelling.
  6. Drinking one glass daily can notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of kidney by urination.
